Transit engineers around here are fantastically mad
Over Labor Day weekend, Caltrans plans on closing the bay bridge for construction. In a normal area, this may mean a bit of welding work or the like, something that's a pain in the ass, but necessary. Here, on the other hand, closing the bay bridge means chopping off a three hundred foot section, carting in a new section of bridge to connect with a diversionary bridge, and then demolishing the old section of bridge. I love the work of mad geniuses.
