Goddammit, we're in the future, part 298232

Chinese Woman Surgically Switches Fingerprints To Evade Japanese Immigration Officers

Lin, a 27-year-old Chinese national, paid around $14,600 to have the fingerprints on her left hand switched with the fingerprints on her right hand. Customs agents discovered the fraud when they saw scars from the surgery on Lin's fingers.

Not too long ago, fingerprint transplants were something done in edgy cyberpunk/techno thrillers to show an outlaw willing to go to any means to stay one step above the law. I guess this is another thing to add to the pile of future things that are now blase, like cleaning robots, and cars that park themself.
